How many hours of personal assistant help do I need?
It depends on how much of your household you want to hand over. Plans run from 10 to 80+ hours a month, month to month, and you can move up, down or pause as your life changes. Olivia starts with a consultation to work out who your household needs and in what order.
A plan suits you if you want one dedicated assistant you can trust with your home, without becoming an employer, and hours that can change when your family travels or your year gets quieter.
It is not the right fit if you need someone to file your taxes, give you legal or financial advice, or be responsible for your children's care. Where we stop covers the rest.

We work out who your household actually needs, and in what order. Often that is an assistant. Sometimes it is a cleaner or a nanny first, and we will tell you that instead of selling you a plan.
Agree the areas you want covered
There are nine parts of running a household. You decide which ones we take and which ones stay with you.
Meet your assistant
Olivia runs your onboarding herself, gathering the accounts, contacts, vendors and preferences. Once she knows how your house runs she matches you with an assistant, and a second one for cover. You meet them both before they start.
Send work however suits you
Text, email, Slack or a quick call. Your assistant picks it up from there and comes back to you when it is done.
Who can see your information
Your assistant, their backup, and Olivia. Nobody else at Palmerston PA can open your household, and nobody is added to it without your approval.
Your assistant
Matched to you at the end of onboarding, and the person who runs your day to day. Employed by Palmerston PA, background checked, and trained on our systems before you meet them.
Your second assistant
Named cover for holidays, sick days and heavy weeks, so nothing stalls when your assistant is away. You meet them too, and they work off the same notes.
Olivia
She runs the company and your onboarding, so she stays across every account and is always the person you can call.
Everyone else here
No access. There is a team behind your assistant, and if your household ever needs another person on it, we ask you first and you decide.
Access is set household by household in our own software, so for anyone who is not on your account the file does not open at all. It is not a rule we ask people to remember.
When someone comes off your account, or leaves Palmerston PA, their access closes the same day. Everything about your household stays with us after the work ends, not just during it.
How we keep you protected
We work inside your calendar, your accounts and your home. Here is what that does and does not give us.
Money moves on your say-so
Payments and transfers happen against your instruction, or a standing list you have approved. We agree a spending limit in advance so a small problem gets solved on the spot rather than interrupting you. Some clients set it at $50, others at $1,000. Above it we check first, and everything we spend comes back to you in writing.
Account access is on your terms
We do not hold cash. Payment methods are set up in your name with limits you choose, credentials live in your password manager, and you can revoke access at any time without going through us.
Requests come through the people you name
Work comes from you and anyone you nominate in writing, so nothing gets lost, duplicated, or actioned by someone who should not be asking.
Confidentiality is permanent
Everything about your household stays with us, during the work and after it. It is why the examples in our work log carry no names and no identifying detail. Yours would be handled the same way.
Where we stop
Your professionals stay yours
We do not file your taxes and we do not give you the advice. Your accountant files, your lawyer advises, your broker recommends. We gather the documents, keep the receipts organized, pay installments when you ask, chase the answers down, and become their point of contact so you do not have to be.
An extra pair of hands, not the childcare
Our job is to take the household off you so the time you have goes to your family. We will source, vet and book childcare, we run the scheduling, and we are glad to step in when the nanny is running late. What we are not is the person responsible for your children's care, and we do not do personal or medical care for anyone in the house.
We find the right trade, we are not one
We are not cleaners and we are not a maintenance crew. If something is quick and we can sort it, we will, and we are firm about leaving a place better than we found it. For anything bigger, calling the right trade is faster and cheaper than us attempting it, so we find them, vet them, book them, supervise them and pay them.
We do not sign or decide for you
Unless you authorize a specific task in writing, our role is to make the call, gather the detail and bring you the decision. We will liaise with your employees, contractors and suppliers where that is agreed in advance. Hiring, terminations, discipline and anything touching employment law stay with you and your employment lawyer. We source, screen, schedule the interviews and prepare the paperwork.

How many assistants will I have
One dedicated assistant, plus a named second for cover when yours is away or the week is heavy. You meet both. We do not rotate you through a pool.

Your two assistants and Olivia. There is a team behind them, and if your household ever needs another person on it we come to you for approval first.
Do you background check your assistants
Yes. Every assistant is background checked and trained on our systems before they meet you. They are our employees, not contractors we pass your work to.
How do I send work to my assistant
Text, email, Slack or a quick call, whichever suits you. We adapt to your style and keep you updated as much or as little as you like.
What hours are you available
Typically 8:00am to 6:00pm for day to day requests. We can arrange support outside those hours when you need it.
What happens if my assistant leaves
Your second assistant already knows your household and picks it up the same day. The person leaving loses access that day too.
Will my assistant come to my house
Yes. A remote assistant can answer email, but she cannot wait for the plumber, return the thing to the store, or drop your car at the shop and bring it back before you need it. Our assistants are local. They come to your home or office across Greater Vancouver when the work needs hands, and handle the rest remotely when it does not.
Is there a contract or long-term commitment
No long lock-in. Plans are month to month, and you can move up, down, or pause as your life changes.
What happens to my information if I stop
Your account is archived in case you come back, and Olivia is the only person who can open it. If you would rather it was gone, tell us and we delete the account and everything in it.
How am I billed
One simple monthly invoice for your plan, plus GST. Overtime and any home watch visits are added at the rates on your plan.

If you have an assistant with us, home watch comes out of your monthly hours, just ask. If you only want the home watch and no plan, hire us for it on its own at the per-visit prices here. Every visit covers a full walkthrough, mail, plants, and running the taps, across Greater Vancouver.
